caring for your aich pieces
how you wash clothes directly impacts how long you will be able to love them for and it can help to lessen the impact we are making on our planet. so, we thought it would be helpful to share with you our everyday tips on taking care of your little ones clothes.
hand wash (but really, what mama has time for that…) or machine wash in cold water with an environmentally friendly laundry detergent. we particularly love and use eco-store’s range at home.
hang them (inside out) on the line or on a clothes horse inside to dry and try to avoid the tumble drier where possible.
do not use fabric softener or bleach.
if you need to get a stubborn stain out, we recommend trying eco-store’s extra clean laundry soaker & stain remover or sard. a good old napisan soak also works a treat in our household.
the power of the sun is often a forgotten way to remove stains from clothing. place your wet clothes outside and lay as flat as possible (on top of a sheet, mat etc). make sure the piece of clothing is in direct sunlight. don't leave them out for too long 2-3 hours should do. for really tough stains you may need to repeat.
